Celebrate Science Indiana 2015 Events

Celebrate Science Indiana 2015 will be at the Blue Ribbon Pavilion at the Indiana State Fair Grounds on Saturday, October 3rd from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The event is free and open to the public. Fairgrounds parking costs $5.00.

This year’s activities include robots, drone flying, DNA extraction, the analysis of art works, the taste of popcorn, the growth of plants, and the marvels of skeletons.

Several IUPUI departments will participate in the festival, including anthropology, biology, chemistry and chemical biology, and earth sciences. The Purdue School of Engineering and the Forensic and Investigative Sciences Program will also be represented.

IUPUI Computer Science Lecturer and author of “Game Programming for Dummies”, Andy Harris, will be giving two free seminars showing how to build web and mobile games:

10-11:00 AM Intro to Computer Gaming
3-4:00 PM Advanced Computer Gaming
